Love this cute little cafe!! Their sandwiches are so delicious - probably because of the suuuper fluffy Hainanese bread they use. Their coffee and iced drinks are so yummy too. Their cake flavours are super unique and done in a way that you can really appreciate the flavours and not overly sweet at all - I really loved the black sesame cake! The staff were super lovely too - really great vibe overall! Highly recommend!!

Feels like home every time I visit this place. Everything from this place is just amazing, from sweets to savoury. The seasonal cake flavours always surprise me but their signature Kaya Toast cake and Ribena Layer cake was my fav. I always come for the herbed chicken AND egg salad + spam sando. They are known for the pink matcha, something really unique as I've never had that anywhere else, but Malt Matcha is my current fav! Would really recommend the kaya toast and soft boiled egg as well, just like how the Malaysians have it back home ♡ My friends and I feel very welcomed dining here as the staffs are super friendly ! A must-visit if you ever come to Melbourne ♡

We also originally aimed to go to Hector’s. However being Saturday arvo and 2.15, hector’s queue was, well, less than impressive, so we went into this little gem desperate for a caffeine fix. Let me tell you one thing, this was NOT a consolation prize! We had the Kaya toast and the miso garlic mushroom and triple cheese sandwich! Guys! What are you doing? I don’t even like mushrooms! That was just heavenly!!! The cappuccino was smooth, I’m not a coffee snob, but just your everyday Melbournian who needs a sweet coffee concoction and boy did it deliver! Give me 14 of those please! And now coming to the star of the show! The 2 cold brews! One with yuzu! That was just pure refreshing. No words to describe that! And last but not the least cold brew with the pandan foam! I don’t know who woke up one morning and thought “we need this”! My question is why haven’t they thought of this earlier!!! And the staffs were ever so lovely. We actually ordered only one cold brew, but there’s was a little miscommunication which was no one’s fault and we were ended up with the two as mentioned, and the guys despite our multiple protests, refunded the price of the yuzu cold brew! Guys, we drank and appreciated every last drop of that coffee, and you absolutely didn’t need to give us that refund! We will absolutely come back for more of your good stuff and will be telling everyone we know about this little place !

Such a cute little cafe tucked away in east end. 🥪🍰Kaya toast cake 💜🍰Ube cake 🌷🍵 Pink matcha latte 🍵 Matcha ☕️Hojicha I’ve been wanting to visit for a long time and it did not disappoint. It had good matcha and hojicha with interesting combination of sweets. 🥪🍰Kaya toast cake I was very impressed. New combination yet the kaya, butter cream, and caramel sauce worked so well together. However it is very big and $12.5 so definitely should be shared. The buttercream was a bit clumpy, maybe because it was in the fridge for long. 💜🍰Ube Black Forest cake So so soft and fluffy. Tastes like ube with a bit of cherry jam in the middle. Not sour, sweet but not too sweet. I 🍵☕️Matcha, Hojicha we ordered hot, they were both strong and flavourful. 🌷🍵 Pink matcha This one on the other hand I wasn’t impressed, as I couldn’t really enjoy the matcha and the strawberry flavour. The combination didn’t work for me. Excited to try out new items next time.

I just loved the vibes here. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I saw this spot when I was visiting Hector’s Deli upon my last visit to Melbourne and was always curious to try their sandwiches. Today I was finally able to! So glad I finally got to try it out. I saw another customer having a kaya toast set(?) which looked amazing! Maybe I’ll have to try that next time I’m visiting Melbourne. Aside from sandwiches, they also have amazing looking desserts, cookies & matcha drinks.

Authentic and delicious. Stopped by for lunch and ordered a number of the sandwiches including the egg salad, chicken salad and egg and mushroom. All dishes were great, the egg salad was a tad too sweet to my liking but understandable what you would expect from a Japanese preference. Overall selection so great. Seating is limited and get very busy at lunch.

I have tried Chicken sandwich twice and it was delicious & fresh each time. Also mung bean ang ku kueh was very tasty and delish. Staffs were very kind too.

We originally planned to go to Hector’s for sandwiches, but to our surprise, this store was still open after we finished our heavy lunch. I know Melbourne is famous for its matcha, but honestly, this is the best matcha I’ve ever had in the city — and I’ve tried plenty of matcha cafés around! You MUST try their matcha cookie , it’s sweet, but pairs perfectly with coffee. Simply amazing! We were served by Ray, thanks for his fun and friendly energy, make my day shines !

Raya is a lovely Indonesian dessert café and brunch spot. Their ube banana pie is super nice and creamy, not too heavy and very comforting. The club sandwich is also really good and filling. The environment is nice and cosy, making it a great place to sit and relax. Also tried their pandan cake, which was fragrant and delicious. Definitely worth a visit!
